Mayor's Cheese & Beer Charity Tasting: Marvellous Sell-out Event

The Town Mayor's first-ever charity Beer & Cheese Tasting, held at the Trust Centre on Saturday, 29th February, was a marvellous sell-out event and raised over £800 for the Harpenden Trust and the Luton & Dunstable Hospital Charitable Fund.

A team from local brewer Farr Brew showcased 5 of their beers and gave a fascinating presentation about the brewing process, explaining how each beer acquires its own unique flavour. Every beer was paired with a different complementary cheese, including vintage Red Leicester, Docelatte and Chevre Blanc, all of which had been provided free of charge by Sainsbury's.

A big thank you to everyone involved in organising such a successful event, to Sainsbury's for their sponsorship and to all those who attended for their generous support. The money raised will go to our Care Fund to help the most vulnerable in our town.
