This last week some of the Harpenden Trust team worked hard (within current restrictions) to pack a massive 140 food parcels, which our volunteers will deliver to vulnerable elderly residents in Harpenden this Christmas. The parcels are filled both with essential items and some seasonal treats, which the team hope will brighten the recipients' Christmas. This year, the team were also appreciative of additional support from Harpenden Waitrose, meaning the Christmas parcel items will be better than ever.
Di McCurley, Chair of Christmas Parcels at The Harpenden Trust said: "This year especially it is wonderful to be able to gift this bag of goodies to so many of our most vulnerable residents. While we have worked with Waitrose for a number of years now, this year with their “Give a Little Love” promotion they have really supported our work. Thank you to all our volunteers who helped pack and those who are delivering."
