Southdown Festival Benefits Trust

Harpenden Trust was grateful to receive an amazing £2,000 from the organisers of the Southdown Festival in September – that was half of the total raised by the festival.

The Trust supported the successful event when it hosted an open day for all those organisations who use the hall to showcase their activities, and there was tea and cakes. Later the hall was used for a Quiz Night without charge.

“We were delighted to be one of the two charities to benefit from the festival, alongside the Royal Marsden Hospital,” said chairman of the Care Fund, Nick Luckett, pictured receiving the cheque from Sarah Rider, landlady of the busy Plough & Harrow pub (right) along with the Trust’s Di McCurley (left) and Diana Brimblecombe.
