Memory Boards Handed Over to Willow Court

A memorable day was experienced yesterday as Interactive Games Consoles, used to great benefit by patients living with dementia, were handed over to Willow Court at Harpenden Trust's new premises in Southdown. The construction of the boards had been organised by two charities, Remap and Men's Sheds, and financed by the Harpenden Trust Community Fund. It was an excellent example of charities working together to support a most deserving cause. Sarah Holmes, Head of Wellbeing at the Harpenden Trust, attended and further opportunities for working together in the future were identified, increasing the already substantial support given by the Trust to disadvantaged people of all ages in Harpenden.

Michelle Tramiro, Activities Coordinator at Willow Court, commented: "Thank you to the Harpenden Trust on behalf of Willow Court in Harpenden for their funding and support on completion of our memory boards. Without their funding this would not have been possible. Helping to support and enhance the lives of people living with dementia here at Willow Court."

Remap, Martin, and Michelle, Willow Court, were interviewed on the BBC Three Counties Radio Breakfast Show 06:00 – 10:00hrs on Wednesday, 29 March 2023, ‘What’s Big In Your House’ hosted by DJ Andy Collins (the interview starts at approximately 3hrs 07mins into the programme - after the news - and ends at 3hrs 17mins). Access via BBC Sounds here (available for one month from broadcast).
