Introducing ... Roz

I returned to the UK in 2014 after living and working in Canada for many years and then commuted into London for work until 2019 when I retired.  I had always wanted to volunteer when I retired and applied to the Trust to work in the office, as that fit with my working experience.  Just 3 months after starting at the office, we went into the first lockdown!  I took some time away from the office and helped with the vaccination centre at the Public Halls. Through my activities with the Trust, I have met so many people and now truly feel part of the community.  My volunteering with the Trust has expanded over the last couple of years, and in addition to helping with the DBS side of recruitment I took on the joint team leader position looking after the annual Seniors Fair.  I really enjoy working with the Trust, the other volunteers are amazing and I get satisfaction knowing I’ve helped people, but more than that I find it has enriched my life.

The Harpenden Trust is currently looking for volunteers in a variety of roles. If you have some time to offer, regardless of skills and experience, please contact our office on 01582 460457 or email [email protected] to discuss which role you might enjoy.
