Community Fund Balances, Hangs, Stretches and Climbs!

Some of the Grove Infant and Nursery School's outside play equipment had been in use for many years and was in desperate need of replacement. It is essential for the children's wellbeing that such equipment is available, as young children should be active and that they can do this in a safe play environment. The play trail provides practice balancing, hanging, stretching and climbing - all skills which support children's development. The Harpenden Trust's Community Fund was delighted to be able to support this project, fully appreciating the importance of this facility to the young children at the school.

The Headmistress said:

'We are delighted with the new play equipment that the Harpenden Trust have helped us to install in our Reception outdoor learning area. Funding this type of large-scale project is very difficult without support, and we consider ourselves very lucky to have been able to access a grant from them for this fantastic new resource. The Reception classes will enjoy it for many years to come!'
