Community Fund Donations

This is how the Harpenden Trust Community Fund has helped various organisations in the AL5 area since April 2019:

A Little Lunch - £250 to meet an increasing demand for their lunches

Young Enterprise - £1,500 for training children in business

High Beeches School - £10,000 to build an outside covered learning/play area

Larder Louts/Kitchen Front - £5,950 for the provision of cooking classes

The Lea Primary School - £12, 000 to renovate playground surface and install new play equipment

St Nicholas School - £10,000 for the building of a new entrance to improve security

Clover Singing Group - £340 to start a new singing group in Southdown

Friends of Greenway Spinney - £1,700 for the completion of the pathway through the Spinney

Harpenden Lions Club - £1,500 to promote drug awareness in schools

Grove Junior School - £10,000 for the extension of the school library

United Reform Church - £10,000 for the provision of astroturf for a toddler play area

Friends of Roundwood Primary School - £12,995 to renovate playground surface and install new play equipment

Kinsbourne Common Nursery - £3,100 for astroturf for their play area and the removal of a tree

Harpenden Mencap - £8,200 for a new phone system

Homedell House - £1,000 for a TV for residents in their common room

Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary - £4,130 for the building of an outdoor shelter to facilitate outside presentations

Highfield School - £5,000 to refurbish Victorian-era toilets

Salvation Army - £10,000 to build a foodbank storage facility

Harpenden Rovers Junior Football Club - £3,195 for the purchase of equipment and kit

Pop-up-Pottery - £3,540 to set-up a pottery, run on an entirely voluntary and free-to-use basis for young and old.
