Trust takes over Seniors' Club Lunch Service

Ahead of the decision by Harpenden Day Centre Association (HDCA) to wind up the Seniors' Club, their management approached us about taking over their current services.  They knew the Trust offers a wide range of services to seniors, including weekly coffee mornings and coach outings. We readily agreed to provide that continuity, and the one monthly and two weekly lunches and the games, including whist and bingo, are now being undertaken by the Trust.

The remaining funds held by HDCA have been given to the Trust as a donation, and the income from those monies will provide funds to support and extend our existing services to all seniors.

We are very pleased that HDCA's chair, Cllr Rosemary Farmer, has become a Trust volunteer.  Her experience will be of great value as we explore how best to enhance our work among the town's elderly people.
