If you have seen the banner on the common highlighting the Trust's annual Christmas Appeal you might like to hear about one of the many local activities this money supports. Batford Memorial Hall is a great support and social hub for the local community and the Harpenden Trust was delighted to contribute to the cost of helping the community celebrate Christmas. Festive cheer was dispensed by the Batford Memorial Elves to locals, the Mayor, local councillors and a couple of Trust representatives. A welcome drink, bingo, lunch, music, dancing and a raffle brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

A huge thank you to the Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra who performed at St Nicholas Church, Harpenden on Saturday 19th September in celebration of their 60th anniversary. A fantastic total of just over £600 was raised and donated to the Harpenden Trust! Alex Fryer conducted, Emily Groom was the leader, and the organist was Robert Mingay-Smith. Ribbon Cancer Support Group at the Harpenden Trust Halls

Ribbon Cancer Support Group (RCSG): a support group for people who are registered with a GP in Harpenden and have had a cancer diagnosis. The group runs on Wednesday afternoons at the Trust Halls, 130a Southdown Road (above the Co-op), 1.30 pm to 3.00 pm. Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra Concert - Saturday 19 September 2026, 7.30pm - The Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra is proud to present a concert on Saturday 19th September at 7.30pm at St Nicholas Church.
