The Trust Helps with the Harpenden Academy Outside Play Area

The Harpenden Academy are a primary school situated in the old library in Vaughan Road. Being in the centre of town it has limited outside space and the school were anxious to obtain maximum benefit from the outside space that they have. To achieve this they have created an excellent outside play area with artificial grass and a range of imaginative pieces of equipment from which the pupils  get a great deal of enjoyment. The Community Fund of the Harpenden Trust were delighted to contribute towards the project which adds so much to the pupils' experience at the school.

Mrs Lisa Davis, Headmistress, said, "We are so thrilled and delighted to have such a fabulous contribution from Harpenden Trust. We have been able to transform the outdoor play space for the Reception children, meaning that this year's children, and subsequent years to come, will benefit from this exciting addition to our school. This is a terrific legacy for Harpenden Trust and the school to share."
