Thank you to the Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra

A huge thank you to the Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra who performed at St Nicholas Church, Harpenden on Saturday 13th September. A fantastic total of just under £1000 was raised and donated to the Harpenden Trust. Richard Nichols, Harpenden Trust Chair, spoke in the interval to thank everyone involved and to give an overview of the Harpenden Trust and the many ways in which it continues to support the local community.

A special thanks also to Liam and Andrew from Bradford and Howley who generously sponsored the concert and provided drinks during the evening.

Edmon Colomer conducted, and the orchestra leader was Benedict Wong. The audience was treated to a fabulous programme comprising:

  • Roberto Gerhard - Pandora - ballet suite
  • Aaron Copland - Appalachian Spring
  • Beethoven - Symphony No.6 Pastoral

It was a truly memorable occasion. Thank you to all involved and especially to the Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra.
