Lea Springs Pantomime

The Trust was delighted to support a new initiative at Lea Springs recently, giving a contribution towards the cost of putting on a pantomime which, in turn, raised money for an outing. The pantomime was a wonderful success, bringing the Lea Springs community together and raising £600 for a barge trip in the summer. Oh yes they did!

The residents who met to organise the pantomime really enjoyed doing so and continue to meet up socially, which shows what a successful project it was in more ways than one. Pictured below is the cast in their stylish costumes.

The Seniors Fair was held on Wednesday, 10 April at the Eric Morecambe Centre and was a huge success. We broke our record from last year with a total of 422 visitors spread across the three hours the Fair was open! A total of 34 exhibitors were in attendance, located throughout the venue. We will have over 30 local organisations and service providers for Seniors, all keen to talk about what they can offer. Entry is free for all and refreshments are available.

Egg’citement for Easter

Jewson's, the builders merchants branch in Southdown, have provided the Harpenden Trust's Care Fund with a great number of Easter Eggs, having collected donations from their customers. We have been able to brighten the day for many of our clients, young and old. We will be giving the eggs to several members of our Seniors Coffee Mornings, Home Visit clients and Befriending clients.
