Ian started volunteering with the Harpenden Trust in 2021. He volunteers as an Area Organiser, a co-ordinator for our annual Christmas Appeal which raises vital funds to help our Care Fund support our community. Ian is also an enthusiastic member of our Transport Team, regularly driving members of the community to events such as coffee mornings.

Ian said: “The Trust do a lot for the town and I’m happy to play a small part in this. In particular, I really enjoy the short chats with people as we drive to and from coffee mornings!”

Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra Concert - Saturday 19 September 2026, 7.30pm - The Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra is proud to present a concert on Saturday 19th September at 7.30pm at St Nicholas Church. All proceeds will go to the Harpenden Trust. Last year nearly £1,000 was raised for the Trust at this event and we hope this year will be similarly successful. We look forward to welcoming you!

Funding Help for Lea Primary and Nursery School Play Area

The timing has proven just perfect as it is in a shady area so ideal in the current heatwaves. Funding Help for Sauncey Wood Primary School Climbing Frame

The Harpenden Trust Community Fund are delighted to have helped fund the construction of a new climbing frame for Sauncey Wood Primary School pupils who love their new facility. The PTA should be praised for their fund raising towards the project and the pupils expressed their thanks by giving the Trust a lovely enormous thank you card!
