I joined the Harpenden Trust in mid-2023 after visiting the stand at the Senior’s Fair. I am a Befriender and have been assisting with various events, such as the Harpenden Carnival and the Covid-booster jabs at local GPs. I am also involved with the admin of utilities at the two Trust properties in Southdown Road. I enjoy being able to give my Befriendee the chance to get out on a regular basis; we chat about diverse subjects from football and electric cars to space travel and exploration. I like being involved with the Trust because I get to meet similar-minded volunteers and local community members.

Ribbon Cancer Support Group (RCSG): a support group for people who are registered with a GP in Harpenden and have had a cancer diagnosis. The group runs on Wednesday afternoons at the Trust Halls, 130a Southdown Road (above the Co-op), 1.30 pm to 3.00 pm. Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra Concert - Saturday 19 September 2026, 7.30pm - The Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra is proud to present a concert on Saturday 19th September at 7.30pm at St Nicholas Church. All proceeds will go to the Harpenden Trust. Last year nearly £1,000 was raised for the Trust at this event and we hope this year will be similarly successful. We look forward to welcoming you!
