Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra Concert in aid of the Trust, 9 September

The Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra are proud to present a concert on Saturday, 9 September in aid of the Harpenden Trust.

The orchestra’s president Edmon Colomer returns to conduct two favourites and an intriguing overture fewer will know. In 1953 Bohuslav Martinů wrote his distinctive take on the baroque concerto grosso in Nice following his American exile. 'Outstanding artist' Benjamin Nabarro then joins us in Brahms' great Violin Concerto. The concert concludes with the brilliant and amazingly mature Symphony which Georges Bizet wrote when just 17.

Tickets are available from the Harpenden Trust Office or on the door for £15 (cash or cheque only).

The school PTA have been very proactive in raising funding and the responses from the children confirm it has been money well spent. This is very much reflected in the comments from not just the headteacher and PTA chair but also from the pupils themselves.
