Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra Concert

Over 100 people, including some children and Harpenden Trust clients, were treated to a wonderful concert performed by the HCO on Saturday 14th September at St Nicholas Church, Harpenden. All proceeds from the evening, amounting to an amazing £1325, were donated to the Harpenden Trust.

The Conductor was Quintin Beer, Leader was Benedict Wong and Solo piano was Julian Trevelyan, a finalist in the 2024 Leeds International Piano Competition. The programme of music included Kodaly Minuetto Serio, Brahms St Anthony Variations and Brahms Piano Concerto No.2 in B flat major.

Our thanks go to Taylor Walton and City Fibre for contributing to the costs of the HCO. We are also very grateful to Bradford and Howley for organising and running the free refreshments during the evening.

Harpenden Trust Chair, Richard Nichols, spoke in the interval to thank everyone and to give an overview of the Harpenden Trust and the many ways in which it continues to support the local community.

It was a truly memorable evening. Thank you to all involved and to those who contributed so generously.
