Harpenden Trust Minibus - Harpenden Golf Club Juniors trip to the BMW PGA

Saturday 21st September was a very special day for a group of ten youngsters from Harpenden Golf Club. Using the new Harpenden Trust minibus, they travelled to the iconic Wentworth Golf Club, which is the home of the much-revered BMW PGA Tournament. Previous winners have included Seve Ballesteros, Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, so it always provides an exciting field of golfers to watch up close and personal. This year was to prove no exception, as Billy Horschel and Rory battled it out over the final two days. Jeremy Rance, the Junior Organiser at Harpenden Golf Club, said: ‘All of the Juniors who attended the event were amazed and impressed by the precision and power of the golfers. Only a few of them had previously attended such an event, so it was a memorable day for them. We are all incredibly grateful to the Harpenden Trust for allowing us to use your minibus, and in particular to Richard Nichols and Jeremy Smith, for facilitating this opportunity. Thank you very much – without your support, the trip would not have been possible, so you’ve enabled some youngsters to really create some treasured memories.’
