Harpenden Seniors Fair, 10 April - A Huge Success

The Seniors Fair was held on Wednesday, 10 April at the Eric Morecambe Centre and was a huge success. We broke our record from last year with a total of 422 visitors spread across the three hours the Fair was open! A total of 34 exhibitors were in attendance, located throughout the venue. New exhibitors this year included the Village Probus Club of Harpenden, Singing for Memory, Nannies-4-Grannies and the Southdown Marquetry Group. The Trust’s sensory table was also on display and attracted a lot of attention. Representatives from the Harpenden PCN attended and provided free blood pressure tests and height measurements.

Thank you to the Harpenden Village Women’s Institute for providing refreshments and cakes. We raised over £630 for the Rennie Grove Hospice! Many thanks also go to our team of volunteers who helped us put on such a worthwhile event.

A response from one of the exhibitors that we received shortly after the Fair: “Thank you again for enabling us to have a stand at this year’s Seniors Fair. The event appeared to be very well-attended. We certainly had plenty of interest from the visitors and met lots of people. There were many comments about what a good idea the Fair is. A very enjoyable and worthwhile day.”
