On Tuesday, 10th December, the Grove Junior School choir visited the Harpenden Trust Centre at 90 Southdown Road, to sing carols for our guests at the Seniors Coffee Morning. We host the Seniors Coffee Morning there every Tuesday 10-11am and all seniors are very welcome to join us. While the Junior School children were singing we handed out goodie bags of donated Christmas food items, some from Busy Bees Nursery in town. Everyone really enjoyed both the singing and the delicious gifts. We just want to say a huge thank you to The Grove Junior School choir for taking the time to visit us and brighten everyone’s day, Merry Christmas to everyone at The Grove School!

Harpenden Trust Seniors Fair – 1st April 2026 - Rothamsted Park

The Harpenden Trust Seniors Fair will take place on Wednesday, 1st April from 10:30am to 1:00pm at the Eric Morecambe Centre in Rothamsted Park. The First Blue Plaque in Harpenden

Steve Pryor the Chair of the Community Fund of the Harpenden Trust was delighted to be invited to the unveiling of the first blue plaque in Harpenden. The blue plaque was installed to acknowledge the tremendous work carried out by Harpenden resident Judy Fryd. Judy had a daughter who suffered from learning disabilities and in 1946 founded an association that would provide help for children suffering from the same problems as her daughter.
