Greenway Spinney - Pleased to help

The Harpenden Trust is pleased to have again been able to support the hugely hardworking volunteers at the Greenway Spinney as they continue to improve the area.  The pictures show how pathways are being added through the spinney - particularly lovely in the springtime!

The Trust's 2018 support, the sum of £1,250 from the Community Fund, is for the materials to complete the task;  it follows grants of £500 in 2009 towards planting, £500 in 2015 to replant a hedgerow, £867.80 for the cost of materials to begin the path, and the latest grant of £1,250 for materials to complete the work.

The Trust says: "We are very pleased to help them as their volunteers are so dedicated and do all the work themselves".  A Trust plaque is displayed on the site.
