Day out at Larks in the Park

The Harpenden Trust gazebo had another outing - to Larks in the Parks on Sunday, 10 July, and it was a scorcher! Although somewhat quieter than expected, perhaps due to the Highland Games taking place at the same time, the children had a lot of fun. Teddy Hoopla went well (it even tempted a couple of adults to give it a try!) and numerous Trust leaflets were distributed. Thanks to the volunteers who braved the heat, and to those who helped us set-up and take-down. We had a nice chat to a governor of Sauncey Woods School who was very appreciative of the donation from the Community Fund towards their sensory garden. She is also a member of the Harpenden Arts Club and has been in discussions with the Trust’s Wellbeing team with respect to including art activities as part of the programme.
