Christmas Appeal over

The Christmas Appeal has now ended, and thousands of the familiar purple and yellow envelopes have been collected from all corners of the town!

The Trust offers everyone who donated a genuine thank you! And a huge thank you, too, to the 200-plus volunteers who took part in the delivery and later collection of the envelopes.

Last year's appeal raised more than £50,000 (including the valuable Gift Aid which allows the Trust to reclaim from the government 25% of whatever you put into the envelope). First indications are that the people of Harpenden have been their legendary generous selves again.

The money raised is used by the Trust's Care Fund to support those less well off in many, many ways.

If you've still got the filled envelope, you can drop it off at the Trust Centre, 90 Southdown Road, at Barclays Bank in the High Street,  or at Jelleys Meats in Southdown.
