The Harpenden Trust received a wonderful contribution of £1,000 to its Christmas Appeal from the sale of raffle tickets at the Lea Singers Christmas Concert on Thursday evening (21 December).

Local chamber choir, The Lea Singers, hosted a Christmas concert in the Eric Morecambe Centre. They were joined by Harpenden community choir, Upbeat, and presented a joyful evening of uplifting singing, mince pies and popular carols for all to join in with.

Harpenden Trust volunteers sold raffle tickets with the proceeds, amounting to a fantastic £1,000, going towards the Harpenden Trust Christmas Appeal.

Thank you so much to the Lea Singers and Upbeat, to all the volunteers and a special thank you to all the audience for their generous donations.

Harpenden Trust Community Fund contribute to repair and purchase of new play equipment for St Nicholas Primary School

The Community Fund are delighted to have contributed towards the repair of the school playground and provision of new play equipment at St Nicholas Primary School. The school PTA have been very proactive in raising funding and the responses from the children confirm it has been money well spent. This is very much reflected in the comments from not just the headteacher and PTA chair but also from the pupils themselves.
